Professional Insights
The project begins with market research. After reviewing competitor training pouches in the market. We consulted with local trainers our team was able to identify key features that a real user prioritizes most.
Comfortable fit/attach - “Most clips are design to attach to pants with a sturdy waist, often accompanied by a belt. Many people dress differently. Treat Pouches should comfortably attach to varying types clothing, made well for pants with/without belts.”
reliable materials - “Treat pouches get dirty, stinky, and slobbery, people need something that is easy to keep clean and sanitary on a daily basis.”
During the first iterations we explored three styles of bags.
Sewn Hip Bag - The market standard. These sewn bags utilize flexible material structures and a clasp, magnet, or velcro for closure.
Molded Hip Bag - Low cost option. Molded bags are high volume/low cost manufactured goods.
Belly Bag - The pro option. This pouch is top of the line for both quality and function. The buyer pays more for a good product.
